No they aren’t. They have standards that must be adhered to and the lack of a “birth certificate” would hinder a white man, a yellow woman, or a redman.
Nothing to do with ‘racism’ and it’s a foul cry to call on the racist card because a company that must have high standards in their reports maintains that standard on an old woman. Otherwise the records they state in their books can be manufactured out of thin air and their “reliable reputation” would go down the sinkhole.

Im sure Jesse Jackson will be pushing this old bag around in her wheelchair before long….

Did you also read that the reason she has no birth certificate is because her parents were slaves? Slavery had ended, but African Americans were still treated poorly, and weren’t allowed their basic rights most of the time, especially in Mississippi. She has a social security card, and the social security administration has verified that she was in fact born in 1892. Why won’t the Guinness board recognize the word of the Social Security Administration? Isn’t a birth certificate easier to fudge than a social security card?

there are still people out there who can say they knew slaves. slavery isnt that far behind us. i believe she is 119 years old. peeps always seem to want to deny black achievment and rarely will teach it in school. blacks that first wrote books in early america-whites would say “we cant proove they did” such as the book Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl Written by Herself by Harriet Ann.
Most whites “not all” still deny ancient egytians were black” although plenty of whites such as E.A. wallis an egyptologist
from the 1800′s and one of the first greek historians from 300-400 BC herodotus who say they were. whites say “we cant proove who built the pyramids so well just say the aliens did. they would rather say aliens built the pyramids rather than give black africans achievement for it. so many other examples i can make. one thing for sure is, do not listen to them. that woman is 119 and if guiness does not want to acknowledge it-we all ready know why. if she did have a birth certificate they would claim another reason for not admitting her in the book of “their records”. get over it. when you drink your coffee, smoke cigaretts, recieve blood from a blood bank, stop at stop light, have open heart surgery, play a stringed instrument, hit your blinkers on your car, and our capitol Wshington d.c. all were invented or discovered by african peoples and i can go on and on with our achevments. STOP THE DENYING AND GET OVER IT. soon america will be mostly hispanic. so to ally ou racist peeps out there, learn some spanish now. thats why they are really trying to stop allegal immigration. whites want to keep their majority status but thats another story……..

  5. Corey says:

They aren’t intentionally discriminating against her because she is black. The criteria of having a birth certificate has a much larger impact on minorities born around that time. It is not fair that she will never officially be recognized as being one old the oldest people in the world because she grew up in a racist era. It’s a sad situation.

Wo you sounds like an angry loser…besides your loser character, social security and the US government recognizes her as being 119…so let me hear you say you don’t believe in the US governments verification on the matter, considering slaves records were kept back in those days. People like you are complete morons I hope you are not an American, you make us all look bad.

The Guiness Book of Records is an interesting book…that’s as far as I am taking it, as you can see it’s not entirely accurate.
